Brazilian co-counsel for your international clients

Foreign law firms, accountants, immigration advisers, relocation companies and wealth managers refer clients to ABDO Advogados when those clients need a company, a legal representative, a bank account or residence in Brazil. You keep the relationship; we handle the Brazilian law.

Who we work with

Professional partners, not end clients

This page is for advisers who act for someone else. If you are setting up your own Brazilian operation, start at the home page.

Foreign law firms

Corporate, tax and immigration teams that need Brazilian counsel for a client's subsidiary, investment or relocation, with opinions and documents they can rely on.

Accountants & tax advisers

Firms whose clients sell into Brazil or are opening a local entity and need the legal side handled alongside the accounting.

Immigration & relocation advisers

Consultants handling the move who need the company, the investment and the residence permit structured as one Brazilian project.

Banks, family offices & wealth managers

Advisers to investors acquiring Brazilian real estate, equity or agricultural assets who need holding vehicles, representation and compliance.

Company-formation platforms

International incorporation providers that do not have Brazilian lawyers and need a reliable local partner for the legal work.

Chambers of commerce & trade bodies

Organisations whose members ask for a vetted Brazilian law firm that works in English.

How we work with partners

Your client stays your client

We act as Brazilian counsel under a clear engagement, report to you in English and never market our services to the clients you introduce.

Co-counsel or direct engagement

We can be engaged by your firm as Brazilian co-counsel, or directly by the client with you copied on everything. You choose the model for each matter.

English reporting

Structure memos, status updates and documents with English reference versions, on the cadence you need for your own client reporting.

Written scopes and fixed fees

Every matter starts with a written proposal: scope, fixed professional fees, itemised third-party costs and timeline.

Arrangements compliant with Brazilian Bar rules

Co-counsel and referral arrangements are structured in accordance with the Statute of the Brazilian Bar and the OAB Code of Ethics, which we explain upfront.

Confidentiality

Communications are protected by the professional secrecy rules applicable to Brazilian attorneys. We sign NDAs with partner firms where required.

One point of contact

A named coordinator from our international desk for all matters you refer, with partner-level supervision.
